  • 36.00 per hour + Premium Shift Differentials At Bridger Veterinary Specialists, your base rate is only one part of what you can earn. ER/ICU technicians working nights, weekends, and other premium shifts have meaningful opportunities to increase their hourly earnings on top of their base pay. Premium Pay Adds Up $3
  • 7/hour premium shift differentials for qualifying evening, overnight, and weekend shifts Daily overtime after 8 hours worked — no need to reach 40 hours in the week first Applicable differentials are paid on top of base pay Bonus opportunities Additional call-in or premium pay when applicable Relocation assistance for eligible candidates For an ER/ICU technician regularly working qualifying premium shifts, these differentials can add $3•7 per hour directly to the base rate during eligible hours.

That means a $25

  • 36 base rate can become $28
  • 43/hour during qualifying premium shifts—before considering daily overtime or bonus opportunities.

What You'll Do & Why Emergency Medicine As an Emergency & ICU Veterinary Technician at BVS, you'll be part of the team delivering advanced care to critically ill and injured patients when they need it most. Emergency medicine is fast-paced, challenging, and incredibly rewarding. No two shifts are the same. One moment you may be helping stabilize a trauma patient, and the next you may be managing a critically ill hospitalized patient or supporting a family through a medical crisis. Depending on your training and skill level, responsibilities may include: Triage and rapid assessment of emergency patients Monitoring and caring for hospitalized and critically ill patients Obtaining vital signs and recognizing changes in patient condition Phlebotomy and IV catheter placement Laboratory sample collection and point-of-care diagnostics Medication calculations and administration Fluid therapy and constant rate infusions Digital radiography and diagnostic imaging support Anesthesia and sedation monitoring Emergency stabilization and CPR Assisting with advanced procedures and treatments Communicating patient changes and concerns to the medical team Providing compassionate support to clients during stressful situations Collaborating with ER doctors, specialists, technicians, assistants, and client service teams Mentoring and supporting teammates as experience and skills develop This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy complex medicine, critical thinking, teamwork, and staying engaged throughout their shift.
