Job Description

Join Our Compassionate Team! Are you a dedicated and compassionate Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) looking to make a difference in the lives of pets and their families? Our fast-paced urgent care veterinary hospital opened February 2025 and we are looking for our next full time skilled and motivated CVT to join our team. At Lead Urgent Care Veterinary Services, we will strive to provide exceptional care to pets in need, with a focus on high-quality service, empathy, and teamwork. Opened 7 days a week, we are seeking a full-time certified technician who can complement our wonderful team of other full-time, part-time, and per diem technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in emergency and urgent care procedures, including triaging, taking vitals, and sedation/anesthesia for procedures/surgery Administer medications, injections, and treatments as directed by veterinarians Monitor patients under anesthesia and provide post-operative care Perform diagnostic testing including bloodwork, radiographs, urinalysis, and more Provide client education and compassionate support to pet owners during stressful times Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation Operate and maintain medical equipment such as X-ray machines, ultrasound, and laboratory analyzers Work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care Utilize progressive, technology driven flow to ensure efficiency from patient check-in to discharge Will share phone answering and check-in/out responsibilities as the business is opening/growing.
Qualifications:
Current certification as a New Hampshire Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) is required. Prior experience in emergency or urgent care preferred Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine, surgical procedures, and anesthesia monitoring Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure, especially in emergency situations Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of a rotating schedule (we will be closed Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter and New Years Day) Ability to work as part of a fast-paced team and independently as needed Why Join Us?
