The ideal candidate is an experienced veterinary technician who enjoys working in a busy but supportive general practice environment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in patient care, communicates well with clients and coworkers, pays attention to detail, and wants to be part of a positive hospital culture. This position is a strong fit for someone who enjoys surgery, dentistry, anesthesia, client education, and working closely with doctors in a privately owned small-animal hospital.

Responsibilities Responsibilities may include:

Anesthesia monitoring Surgical preparation and recovery Dental procedure support Digital dental radiographs Venipuncture and sample collection IV catheter placement Running in-house laboratory work Radiology assistance Patient restraint and handling Medication preparation and administration Client education and discharge instructions Accurate medical recordkeeping Supporting doctors during appointments, procedures, and hospitalized patient care Helping mentor junior team members, depending on experience Qualifications Veterinary technician experience: 3 years minimum required Surgery and anesthesia experience required Dentistry experience preferred Leadership or mentoring experience is a plus Technician certification preferred, but not required Strong non-credentialed technicians are encouraged to apply High school diploma or equivalent required Must be reliable, detail-oriented, positive, and team-focused Strong communication and client service skills required

Pay:

$24.00 - $29.00 per hour
