Job Description

Are you an experienced LVT who loves veterinary medicine but is ready for a role that goes beyond the traditional technician position? Do you enjoy talking with people, building relationships, problem-solving, educating others, and being part of the bigger picture? If so, this may be the opportunity you've been looking for. Animal Dental Specialists of Nevada is looking for an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our dental specialty hospital as a Referral Coordinator / Customer Service Liaison. This is not your typical LVT position. You'll use the clinical knowledge and experience you've built throughout your veterinary career, but instead of spending the majority of your day restraining patients, placing catheters, or working in treatment, you'll use that expertise to build relationships with veterinary hospitals, coordinate referrals, support clients, and help grow our specialty practice. Some days may include visiting referring hospitals, while other days may be focused on coordinating referrals, communicating with veterinary teams and clients, creating marketing content, and supporting our customer service team. Your clinical experience matters in this role. You will need to understand veterinary records, dental terminology, treatment recommendations and common dental conditions so you can communicate confidently with veterinary professionals and help connect them with our clinical team when medical questions arise. You'll become an important connection between our specialty hospital and the veterinary community throughout Las Vegas. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 1. Build Referral Relationships Develop and maintain strong relationships with local veterinarians, technicians, practice managers, and veterinary hospitals. Visit referring veterinary practices throughout the Las Vegas area to introduce our services, deliver marketing materials, answer questions, and share important updates. Serve as a consistent point of contact for our referral partners. Identify opportunities to strengthen and improve the referral experience. Represent Animal Dental Specialists of Nevada professionally throughout the veterinary community. 2. Coordinate Referrals Track incoming referrals and ensure timely follow-up. Communicate with referring veterinary hospitals regarding referrals, scheduling, records, and follow-up. Help coordinate receiving or sending medical records, diagnostics, and other information needed for referred patients. Ensure referring veterinarians receive appropriate updates regarding their patients. Work closely with our veterinarians and clinical team to ensure accurate and timely communication. Track referral inquiries, scheduled appointments, and other referral metrics to help identify opportunities to improve the referral process. 3. Support Customer Service & Marketing Help ensure our customer service/reception area is covered from 7:30 AM-6:00 PM, Monday-Friday. Assist with reception and client service duties (i.e. answering phones and responding to emails) when needed. Assist with creating engaging educational and community-focused social media content that represents our specialty hospital and veterinary team. Assist with website content such as blog posts, and event announcements. Collaborate with our website management team. Work with the Practice Manager and DVM owner to develop and implement referral and marketing strategies. Compile referral data and provide regular reporting to identify opportunities for growth.
