Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our compassionate veterinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in animal care, veterinary procedures, and client communication, with a passion for providing exceptional pet health services. As an LVT, you will play a vital role in supporting veterinarians, delivering high-quality patient care, and ensuring a positive experience for pet owners. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where animal welfare and professional growth are prioritized. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and laboratory testing. Perform diagnostic imaging such as X-ray procedures with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Provide comprehensive animal husbandry and grooming to ensure optimal health and comfort of patients. Monitor animal physiology and vital signs during critical care cases, supporting veterinary decision-making. Maintain detailed records of treatments, laboratory results, and patient histories in compliance with clinic protocols. Educate pet owners on pet care, including dental terminology, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Manage kennel duties, including cleaning, feeding, and supervising dog handling activities. Support veterinary team during surgeries by preparing instruments and assisting with anesthesia administration. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Veterinary Technician (LVT) or equivalent credential recognized in the region. Proven experience in veterinary clinics with knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy. Strong background in animal handling, restraint techniques, and pet care best practices. Familiarity with laboratory procedures and veterinary critical care protocols. Experience working with diverse species including dogs, cats, and equine patients is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology and proficiency in dental procedures is advantageous. Ability to operate X-ray equipment accurately while maintaining aseptic technique standards. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate pet owners effectively. $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
