Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) Nassau Veterinary ClinicNassau, NY Full-Time | Every Other Saturday$3,000 Sign-On BonusBring Your Skills to a Team That Values Veterinary TechniciansNassau Veterinary Clinic is looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our experienced and collaborative medical team. As a five-doctor, AAHA-accredited practice, Nassau Veterinary Clinic has proudly cared for pets and their families in the community for many years. Our hospital combines modern veterinary medicine with the close-knit atmosphere of an established community practice.

We believe talented technicians are an essential part of excellent medicine, and we want our LVTs using the skills they've worked hard to develop.

What You'll Be DoingIn this role, you'll work closely with our veterinarians throughout appointments, procedures, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and hospitalized patient care.
Responsibilities may include:
Performing venipuncture and placing IV cathetersCollecting and processing blood, urine, and other laboratory samplesPreparing patients for surgical and dental proceduresMonitoring patients throughout anesthesia and recoveryObtaining digital and dental radiographsAdministering medications, vaccines, fluids, and prescribed treatmentsProviding nursing care and monitoring hospitalized patientsAssisting veterinarians during examinations and proceduresReviewing discharge instructions and treatment plans with pet ownersMaintaining accurate medical records and supporting an efficient treatment areaA Hospital Equipped for Quality MedicineOur facility gives the veterinary team access to the equipment and space needed to provide comprehensive patient care, including:

Digital diagnostic imagingUltrasoundDedicated surgery and dentistry areasMultiple examination roomsSpacious treatment and hospitalization areasGrooming and training facilitiesOutdoor areas for patient activity and enrichmentWho We're Looking ForWe're seeking an LVT who is confident in their technical abilities while also valuing communication, teamwork, and compassionate care.

Qualifications include:

Current New York State Veterinary Technician licensePrevious clinical veterinary experienceProficiency with core technician skills, including venipuncture, catheter placement, patient treatments, and anesthesia monitoringStrong patient handling and nursing skillsDependable and collaborative approach to teamworkProfessional communication with clients and coworkersInterest in continuing to develop clinical knowledge and technical skillsScheduleThis is a full-time opportunity with a consistent weekly schedule. Every-other-Saturday availability is required.
