About Us Compassionate Companion Care is a well-established, small animal and exotics veterinary clinic in Pine City, NY. Led by Dr. Mari Delaney, our practice provides high-quality conventional and holistic patient care in a compassionate, welcoming environment. Job Summary Are you a recent graduate looking for the perfect place to launch your career, or a current student seeking hands-on mentorship? We are seeking an enthusiastic Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or License-Eligible New Graduate/Student to join our patient-first team. We love mentoring the next generation of technicians and offer a safe, encouraging environment to sharpen your skills. Key Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with physical exams, holistic treatments, and medical procedures. Perform patient assessments (temperature, pulse, respiration, and monitoring). Learn and assist with surgical prep, dental cleanings, and digital radiography. Collect and process laboratory samples using our in-house IDEXX diagnostics. Administer medications and treatments under veterinary supervision. Educate clients on preventative care and post-operative at-home treatments.
Qualifications & Requirements Active New York State LVT License, OR New Grads:
Graduation from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program and eligible/scheduled to take the VTNE.
Students:
Currently enrolled in an accredited Vet Tech program looking for paid clinical experience or an externship. A compassionate, patient approach to animal care and a strong desire to learn. Schedule & Hours Daytime schedule (No weekends, no late nights, and major holidays off). Flexible hours available to accommodate class schedules for current students.
Benefits & Perks Competitive Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour depending on school status and license readiness.
Licensure Support:
We will fully reimburse your VTNE exam fees and initial NYS registration costs upon successful completion! Continuous hands-on mentorship from experienced staff. Employee pet care discounts. Paid time off (PTO) for full-time employees.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 38.0 - 40.0 per week
