This is equivalent to >$10,000!!! You will become a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Veterinary Technician (CCRVT) and retain this certification for your lifetime career. Paid time off for required training Hands-on learning in a collaborative, compassionate environment A role where you truly make a difference in animal mobility and recovery What we ask: Be a full-time LVT in AMC's Rehab department Commit to 2 years post-certification Learn more about the certification here: Premier, Hands-On Education in Physical Rehabilitation & Acupuncture caninerehabinstitute.com Qualifications NYS Veterinary Technician's license (or permit) Ability to handle and restrain all species of animal Must be able to lift 50 pounds Must be able to bend or kneel for extended periods of time while helping with patient restraint Must be able to work successfully as part of a team Ability to work independently and proactively Follow detailed directions and established protocols Electronic medical record experience preferred Must have flexibility necessary to work weekends, holidays and additional hours as needed CCRP (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner) CCRVT (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Veterinary Technician) or CCRA (Certified Canine Rehabilitation assistant) is preferred but not required Responsibilities Rehabilitation treatments including exercising, massage, hot/cold packing, tub/treadmill treatments, ultrasound, hot/cold therapy, laser treatments and acupuncture Assess patients on discharge Communicate professionally with clients and referral veterinarians regarding the patient's rehabilitation progress Maintain concise and accurate records of the patient's treatment progress and charges Assist in planning, performing and tailoring rehabilitation treatments according to patient's needs Maintain the cleanliness of Rehabilitation Department Order and stock supplies as necessary All other related duties as assigned Our comprehensive benefits package includes: Competitive salary Generous sign-on bonus Generous paid time off Tuition assistance 50% discount on veterinary care Mentorship through the VTS process Continuing education funds with rollover options NYS Licensing fee reimbursement Relocation reimbursement for qualified candidates who live outside the NYC metropolitan area 403b matching Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage You may be eligible for The Public Loan Service Forgiveness Program as we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit employer Excellence in veterinary medicine since 1910.
