Our goal is to create an environment where both people and pets feel supported. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our Neurology team. This role is best suited for a technician who is detail-oriented, clinically strong, and thrives in a fast-paced specialty environment. The Neurology CVT plays an important role in supporting neurologic examinations, advanced diagnostics, anesthesia, procedures, and ongoing patient care. This position requires strong technical skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and adaptable in a fast-paced specialty environment. Schedule Full-time 3, 12 hour shifts. Includes Saturdays What You'll Do Provide High-Level Patient Care Perform advanced nursing and client care Execute technical skills including phlebotomy, IVC placement, and medication administration Monitor and support patients throughout diagnostics and treatment Provide compassionate, patient-focused care throughout hospitalization Anesthesia & Procedure Support Induce, maintain, monitor, and recover patients from general anesthesia Monitor anesthesia across varying risk classifications Assist with neurologic procedures and diagnostic imaging Support patients undergoing MRI, CT, and other advanced diagnostic procedures Maintain appropriate monitoring and patient safety throughout procedures and recovery. Diagnostics & Laboratory Support Assist with neurologic diagnostic testing and sample collection Process in-house laboratory work and prepare samples for reference laboratories Support diagnostic workflows and ensure accuracy and efficiency Assist with patient preparation and positioning for advanced imaging and procedures Contribute to Team-Based Care Collaborate with specialists, technicians, and all hospital teams Communicate clearly with team members to ensure continuity of care Provide education and support to clients throughout their pet's care Maintain accurate and timely medical records and patient documentation Help support a positive, collaborative, and learning-focused team environment What We're Looking For Active CVT license in Oregon (or eligible for transfer) Minimum 3 years of experience as a CVT At least 1 year of ER, ICU, or specialty experience Strong technical and patient-care skills Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment Compassionate, reliable, and patient-focused approach Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively within a collaborative team

Preferred:

Previous experience in veterinary Neurology or other Specialty Experience with anesthesia and advanced diagnostic imaging Experience with SmartFlow, ezyVet, or similar systems Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Physical & Work Environment Expectations Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working with sick animals, biologic hazards, and cleaning chemicals Ability to work in an environment with odors, noise, and fast-paced activity Ability to safely handle patients with mobility limitations, altered mentation, seizures, or other neurologic conditions Compensation & Benefits $30-$38/hour DOE $5/hour hospital-wide overnight shift differential C omprehensive
