Job Description
Piper Companies is seeking an Animal Care Technician to support a leading preclinical research organization in Denver, PA . This is an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in gaining hands-on experience in a research and laboratory animal care environment. Training is provided, and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities of the
Animal Care Technician:
- Perform daily animal care activities including feeding, watering, health observations, and cage maintenance
- Maintain clean and sanitary housing areas in accordance with established procedures
- Monitor and document environmental conditions within animal rooms
- Assist with animal handling, colony management, and routine facility operations
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation
- Support inventory management of animal care supplies and equipment Qualifications of the
Animal Care Technician:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Prior animal care, agricultural, veterinary, kennel, or husbandry experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow detailed procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to animal welfare Compensation for the
