Who We Are Located in Plymouth Meeting, PA, Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital is a multi-service animal hospital offering general practice, specialty services, 24/7 emergency care, boarding, grooming, daycare, and rehabilitation. We re known for our long-standing commitment to client relationships, high-quality medicine, and a team-first culture where every voice matters. What You ll Do As a Veterinary Emergency Technician at HVSH, you ll be on the front line of urgent patient care, working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. In this role, you will: Triage incoming patients by assessing their medical needs and prioritizing treatments based on urgency. Provide immediate critical care administer fluids, medications, and other life-saving interventions while closely monitoring patient status. Collaborate with emergency veterinarians and fellow technicians to devise and execute treatment plans for a variety of acute and complex cases. Communicate compassionately with pet parents , offering clear updates, reassurance, and empathy during stressful moments. Maintain a calm, organized workspace and ensure rapid access to the supplies and equipment needed for emergency interventions. Participate in ongoing training and case discussions , sharpening your skills and staying current with the latest emergency protocols and best practices. Anticipated Schedule This is a full-time position with the following available schedule: 4 - 10 hour shifts Shifts range from 6a-9p Some weekend availability needed Compensation Starting at $21/hr.
