Job Description
Animal Hospital of Richboro is an upbeat, fast-paced veterinary practice looking for a Part-time Veterinary Assistant or Technician who wants to care for our client's animals and contribute to the growth of our close-knit team. Located in Richboro PA, we provide high-quality, very professional care for our patients. We care about our clients and want them to spend quality time with their pets for as long as they can. We provide full-service surgical, dental, and medical care to small animals. Highly Valued skills/abilities:
- Greeting clients, making them feel welcome
- Maintaining accurate electronic and written medical records
- Liaison communication between clients and veterinarians
- Ability to triage patients
- Knowledge of veterinary products (vaccines, preventatives, medications)
- Filling prescriptions (basic pharmacology knowledge, familiarity with monthly preventatives, familiarity with medications)
- Radiology skills
- Patient Restraint and handling
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds unassisted
- General hospital care/maintenance
- Ability to work unsupervised, as well as part of a team
- Great people skills to assist in client education
- Desire to learn and to be taught
