Churchill Valley Animal Clinic has completed a successful year as a one doctor practice and is now looking to expand. We are seeking a technician that is experienced and confident in surgery and exam rooms equally. Ability with blood draws, catheter placement, restraint and all other technician procedures is a must. A lead position is available and all experience and contribution will be justly rewarded. We are dedicated to pets and their parents first, a clinic that is compassionate and generous, and we all try to contribute to a fulfilling, fun place to work. The operation of the clinic is designed to provide trusted, genuine care for any and all dogs and cats and their parents. Most scheduled appointments are 30 minutes to provide personal, quality care. This provides us time to see emergencies each day and stay excited and challenged with work. Surgeries and procedures are scheduled daily, midday, and do not coincide with normal appointments. We all work together throughout each day as a team. We want everything we do here to exemplify the reasons we all wanted to work in veterinary medicine, and we strive to share that with clients. Responsibilities Work cooperatively with veterinarians and support staff during examinations and surgical procedures. Ensure the best care and treatment of our patients by taking a personal interest in their well being. Provide critical care and medical treatments to hospitalized patients. Surgical preparation and anesthesia induction and monitoring. Maintain accurate medical records for each patient. Educate and work with pet owners so that they can provide the best lives for their pets. Lead by example. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment. Qualifications Confident and skilled in veterinary diagnostic and treatment procedures. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. Compassion for all patients and clients even when it seems undeserved. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The ability to keep calm in a stressful or even confrontational situation. Face emotional situations and maintain professionalism. Truly love dogs and cats.
