Job Description
Overview Now hiring a receptionist for a doctor owned, small animal veterinary clinic in Wilkins Township/ Churchill. We have now successfully operated as a one doctor clinic for a year and will be expanding this fall. We are dedicated to pets and their parents first, a clinic that is compassionate and generous, and always a fulfilling, fun place to work. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and support to pet owners while ensuring a smooth operation within our veterinary practice. You absolutely have to love dogs and cats, and truly appreciate the concerns of their parents. Duties Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered. Contribute to maintaining accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans. Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail. If interested, assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations or procedures as needed. Educate clients on pet care, including dental health, nutrition, and preventive measures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room. Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality patient care. Qualifications Previous experience in the veterinary industry is preferred but not required. Success in this position is dependent on personality and work ethic. The ability to communicate effectively and comfortably with clients and team members. The ability to endure an occasional, undeserved verbal beating for something that has nothing to do with you personally. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing records and appointments. Ability to work in an emotional environment while maintaining professionalism. An unwavering sense of humor. If you have a love for pets and a desire to contribute positively to their well-being, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position as a Veterinary Receptionist.
