Job Summary Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician and become a vital part of our Small Animal, 4 Doctor practice. In this energetic role, you will assist veterinarians with clinical procedures, provide compassionate pet care, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for animals and clients alike. Your expertise will help facilitate smooth clinic operations, support diagnostic processes, and contribute to the health and well-being of pets. Two (2) years experience working in a veterinary hospital or clinic is required. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining a sterile environment using aseptic techniques. Perform animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both animals and staff during treatments or examinations. Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnoses. Maintain detailed medical records, including vaccination histories, treatment plans, and laboratory results. Support pet care activities including grooming, feeding, administering medications, and monitoring recovery post-procedure. Take radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Manage kennel duties by cleaning, feeding animals, and monitoring their behavior to promote comfort and health. Assist with dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and performing animal dentistry tasks such as cleaning teeth or applying treatments. Skills Proven kennel experience with the ability to manage multiple animals efficiently. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices. Skilled in animal handling techniques including restraint, catheterization, and species-specific care procedures. Familiarity with laboratory equipment, X-ray machines, and aseptic techniques essential for diagnostic support. Excellent pet handling skills to ensure animals are comfortable during visits. Ability to communicate effectively with clients about pet care instructions and treatment plans. Demonstrated veterinary technician experience with a focus on animal welfare and safety standards. Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour
