What You'll Be Working On Assist doctors in client communications via phone, email and text messaging. Assist the veterinarians in filling prescriptions according to medical standards, ensuring accurate dosing and proper labeling and calling in prescriptions to outside pharmacies. Assist in maintaining the pharmacy inventory ensuring appropriate quantities of medications are in stock, using a FIFO system and monitoring drugs for expiry. Provide clear instructions to pet owners on medication administration, including dosage, potential side effects, and storage requirements. Maintain a positive work environment and promote teamwork. Qualifications Pharmacy technician experience. Previous veterinary technician experience helpful, but not required. Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to confidently and efficiently relay communications to clients is required. Knowledge of medication names, dosages and pharmaceutical calculations or ability to learn required. High aptitude learner who has the ability to acquire, retain, and apply knowledge. Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication skills.
