Job Description
Lake Marion Animal Hospital is a small-animal veterinary practice located in Summerton, SC. We are a small team of friendly and skilled staff members that place a high value on customer service and patient care. We are proud to have a loyal, respectful client base that values the care we provide their pets, and we strive every day to deliver service that keeps them coming back. We are looking for a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant who is focused on fully learning and utilizing their technical skills and teamwork to provide compassionate care to our patients and clients. Customer service is number one. The VT will aid the veterinarian in achieving greater efficiency by performing technical work and administrative details. These duties include, but are not limited to: animal restraints, surgery prep, lifting animals(must be able to lift 50 lbs), patient treatments, thoughtful communication with clients and general education.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Starting pay: Dependent on experience Drug Test and Background Check may be required.Benefits include:

- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of people in a dynamic and high- pressure environment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Also frequently required to sit, walk, reach, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and balance, and occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move office products and supplies, up to 60 pounds.
- Frequently required to restrain, lift, carry, or otherwise move animals up to 40 pounds on own, and over 40 pounds with assistance.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
MUST BE SELF MOTIVATED AND SUPPORTIVE OF OTHER STAFF MEMBERS
