Key Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians with high-volume spay/neuter surgeries. Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia before, during, and after procedures. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed. Perform blood draws, catheter placement, laboratory testing, and radiographs. Monitor patient recovery and provide post-operative care. Maintain accurate medical records. Educate clients on post-operative care, preventive medicine, and wellness. Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment. Help maintain a safe, efficient, and organized clinic environment. Work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and volunteers to provide exceptional patient care.

Qualifications:

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT) preferred; experienced veterinary assistants with strong technical skills will also be considered. Previous experience in high-volume surgery or shelter medicine preferred. Strong anesthesia monitoring skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
