Description Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures Prepare and maintain examination rooms and surgical areas Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians Perform laboratory tests and analyze results Take x-rays Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments Provide post-operative care to animals Educate pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition Maintain accurate records of patient information

Skills:

Proficient in aseptic technique for maintaining a sterile environment Knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy Strong pet care skills, including feeding, grooming, and administering medications Ability to handle animals safely and with compassion Familiarity with animal catheterization procedures Understanding of veterinary terminology and medical procedures Skill in animal restraint techniques Previous experience as a veterinary assistant is preferred
