Flower Mound Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center ER seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital. In this fast-paced, collaborative setting, you'll provide hands-on nursing care to emergency and critical patients, assist veterinarians with advanced diagnostics, surgery, and intensive care, and support seamless communication with pet owners. You'll work closely with a compassionate, multi-specialty team, developing skills in critical care and specialty medicine while delivering patient-centered, high-quality care to pets in the Flower Mound community. Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency and critical patients Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostic procedures, surgery, and treatments Monitor anesthesia, triage incoming emergencies, and perform emergency stabilization Operate and maintain advanced diagnostic equipment (e.g., imaging, lab analyzers) Administer medications, fluid therapy, and perform venipuncture and catheter placement Accurately document patient status, treatments, and medical records Educate and support pet owners on treatment plans and home care Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked treatment and ICU environment Collaborate closely with doctors, technicians, and support staff across specialties Required Skills Veterinary nursing care Emergency and critical care procedures Anesthesia monitoring Venipuncture and catheter placement Diagnostic imaging support In-house laboratory testing Medication administration and fluid therapy Medical record documentation Triage and patient assessment Client communication
