Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. This position requires proficiency in various veterinary procedures and excellent communication skills.Responsibilities:
- Perform X-rays and assist with diagnostic imaging procedures
- Maintain aseptic technique during surgical procedures
- Assist with patient care, including handling and treatment
- Perform animal catheterization and administer medications as directed by the veterinarian
- Handle animals with care and ensure their comfort and safety during examinations and treatments
- Utilize veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal physiology to accurately document patient information
- Provide animal restraint during procedures and examinations
- Conduct laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis
- Assist with pet care, including feeding, grooming, and exercise
Qualifications:
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent certification preferred
- Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician is required!!!
- Proficiency in X-ray techniques and equipment operation
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique in surgical procedures
- Experience with canine/feline care is highly desirable
- Excellent animal handling skills and the ability to keep animals calm and comfortable during procedures
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and animal physiology
- Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively
- Proficient in conducting laboratory tests and interpreting results accurately
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$15.00- $19.
