Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. This position requires proficiency in various veterinary procedures and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform X-rays and assist with diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Maintain aseptic technique during surgical procedures
  • Assist with patient care, including handling and treatment
  • Perform animal catheterization and administer medications as directed by the veterinarian
  • Handle animals with care and ensure their comfort and safety during examinations and treatments
  • Utilize veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal physiology to accurately document patient information
  • Provide animal restraint during procedures and examinations
  • Conduct laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis
  • Assist with pet care, including feeding, grooming, and exercise
Qualifications:
  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent certification preferred
  • Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician is required
  • Proficiency in X-ray techniques and equipment operation
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic technique in surgical procedures
  • Experience with canine/feline care is highly desirable
  • Excellent animal handling skills and the ability to keep animals calm and comfortable during procedures
  • Familiarity with veterinary terminology and animal physiology
  • Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively
  • Proficient in conducting laboratory tests and interpreting results accurately
