Available Help for . #HGCY26 My Family Vet is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians in providing high-quality medical and nursing care to patients. The LVT will assist with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, procedures, surgery, patient monitoring, client education, and other clinical responsibilities within the scope of the position. Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and medical procedures. Obtain and document patient histories and vital signs. Collect blood, urine, and other diagnostic specimens. Perform or assist with laboratory and diagnostic procedures. Administer medications, injections, fluids, and treatments as directed by a veterinarian. Prepare patients and equipment for surgical procedures. Assist with anesthesia induction and monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery. Perform dental-related technical duties as permitted within the position's scope. Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes in patient condition. Maintain accurate medical records. Educate clients regarding medications, treatments, preventive care, and veterinarian instructions. Follow infection-control, sanitation, and patient-safety procedures. Maintain and prepare medical equipment and treatment areas. Veterinary technician education and clinical training required. Experience in a veterinary hospital or clinical environment preferred. Strong animal-handling and patient-care skills. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, medications, laboratory procedures, and clinical practices. Ability to communicate professionally with clients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Provide compassionate and low-stress handling of patients. Perform additional duties as assigned Background requirements: Candidates must pass a drug screen and background check.
