Your expertise in animal handling, laboratory procedures, and veterinary terminology will help us maintain the highest standards of pet care and veterinary excellence. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and sample collection using aseptic techniques. Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnoses. Handle a variety of animals including dogs, cats, and equines with confidence and gentle care, ensuring their safety and comfort. Maintain detailed medical records, update patient files, and document treatments accurately using veterinary terminology. Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with cleaning, polishing, and oral examinations. Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines to produce high-quality images for assessment. Contribute to pet grooming, pet care education, and animal husbandry to promote overall well-being. Assist with animal husbandry tasks including feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring animal physiology for signs of illness or distress. Support critical care cases by providing attentive animal care during recovery or emergency procedures. Handle laboratory specimens carefully and efficiently to ensure accurate testing results. Experience Prior kennel experience or hands-on animal handling experience is highly valued. Demonstrated veterinary technician experience with knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology. Experience working with laboratory equipment and performing diagnostic tests such as X-ray imaging. Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures related to pet dentistry is a plus. Knowledge of equine care or experience working with large animals is advantageous but not required. Strong dog handling skills along with proficiency in animal restraint techniques are essential.
