This is primarily a clinical position (approximately 80%), with the remaining time spent assisting with reception, client service, and other needs throughout the clinic. We're building a workplace that is relaxed and friendly while still professional, hardworking, and focused on excellent patient care. We want a highly collaborative, low-drama environment where people support one another, continue learning, and aren't afraid to jump in when something needs to be done. Veterinary experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. We care about technical ability, but we care just as much about reliability, work ethic, attitude, and willingness to learn. What You'll Do You'll work closely with our veterinarian and medical team to provide excellent care for our patients. Depending on your experience, training, and demonstrated competency, responsibilities may include: Safely restraining dogs and cats Assisting the veterinarian during examinations and procedures Collecting blood and other diagnostic samples Placing IV catheters Running in-house laboratory tests Assisting with and obtaining radiographs Assisting with dental procedures Preparing patients and equipment for surgery Monitoring patients during anesthesia Assisting with surgical and anesthetic recovery Preparing medications as directed Maintaining accurate medical records Preparing exam and treatment rooms Communicating with clients about patient care and veterinarian recommendations Discussing estimates, costs, services, and available care options with clients Educating clients about preventive care, recommended services, products, and available treatment options after appropriate training Using veterinary software and other technology throughout the workday Assisting with reception duties when needed, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking clients in and out, and processing payments Helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinic We don't expect every candidate to arrive knowing how to perform every technical responsibility listed above. Training will be provided based on experience and demonstrated ability. As you develop your skills and demonstrate competency, you'll be trusted with greater independence and responsibility. Experience & Education High school diploma or GED required 6+ months of veterinary experience preferred, but not required Prior hands-on veterinary or animal-care experience is helpful Veterinary technician certification or licensure is not required We are willing to train a candidate who demonstrates the right attitude, work ethic, reliability, and ability to learn This is currently a part-time position with potential to become a full-time position.

Pay:

$14.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 30.0 per week
