Overview Join our veterinary team as a Licensed Veterinary Technician and become an essential part of providing exceptional veterinary care! We are thrilled to be opening our new Belfair Animal Clinic , and we couldn't be more excited to bring compassionate, high-quality veterinary medicine to the Belfair community. As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you'll use your technical expertise, clinical skills, and compassionate approach to support our veterinarians in delivering comprehensive medical care. From assisting with surgeries and diagnostics to educating clients and advocating for our patients, you'll play a vital role in ensuring every pet receives outstanding treatment while helping owners feel informed and supported throughout their pet's healthcare journey. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with precision and care Perform animal restraint safely and effectively to facilitate procedures and examinations Conduct laboratory work including blood draws, urinalysis, and sample processing using veterinary software and diagnostic radiology tools Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments accurately following veterinary protocols Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety through veterinary anesthesia monitoring and critical care techniques Manage vascular access procedures such as IV insertion and animal catheterization Maintain detailed medical records, update patient files, and operate medical equipment with attention to aseptic technique Assist in radiology diagnostics by taking X-rays and processing images for accurate interpretation Provide emergency medicine support by responding swiftly to critical situations in veterinary emergency care settings Skills Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Proven veterinary technician experience with a strong foundation in veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy knowledge Familiarity with veterinary critical care, anesthesia administration, laboratory procedures, and diagnostic radiology techniques Skilled in animal restraint, IV insertion, phlebotomy, and animal catheterization to ensure safe patient handling Experience operating medical equipment such as X-ray machines, anesthesia monitors, and laboratory analyzers Knowledge of veterinary software systems for record keeping and diagnostic purposes Ability to communicate clearly with clients about pet care instructions while demonstrating empathy and professionalism Join us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their families! Pay:
$28.00 - $38.00 per hour
