Position Overview:
We are seeking an Experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, confident, detail-oriented, and passionate about high-quality veterinary medicine. You should enjoy working collaboratively with veterinarians and fellow team members while providing excellent patient care and exceptional client service. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced general practice environment and will take pride in maintaining high standards of patient safety, medical quality, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians with physical examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and medical procedures. Monitor anesthesia and patients during surgical and dental procedures. Perform surgical preparation, patient monitoring, recovery, and post-operative care. Place IV catheters and perform venipuncture with skill and confidence. Calculate and administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian. Obtain and process diagnostic samples and perform in-house laboratory testing. Take high-quality digital radiographs accurately and efficiently. Monitor and document patient vital signs and anesthesia parameters. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and patient documentation. Prepare patients for procedures and provide safe, compassionate handling and restraint. Educate clients regarding medications, treatments, preventive care, nutrition, and at-home patient care. Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient status and treatment plans. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment area. Assist with the general care, comfort, and monitoring of hospitalized patients. Follow established safety, infection-control, and patient-care protocols. Work collaboratively with veterinarians, veterinary assistants, reception staff, and practice leadership. Contribute to a positive, respectful, and supportive team environment.

Qualifications:
Current Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential in Washington State or eligibility for Washington State licensure. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician in a clinical setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, procedures, and patient care. Solid understanding of animal behavior, handling, and restraint techniques. Experience with anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, radiology, and in-house laboratory diagnostics. Excellent communication and client-education skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team. Proficiency with veterinary software and computer systems. Ability to remain calm, organized, and professional in a fast-paced and sometimes emotionally challenging environment. Willingness to learn, grow, and adapt to new technologies and medical techniques. Ability to safely lift, carry, and restrain animals of various sizes. We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30am-6pm and Saturday from 9am-4pm. This position can be full-time or part-time.
