We are seeking an experienced LVT for our day practice. We seek a full-time or part-time LVT for our well-equipped, busy, paperless, general and rehab medicine practice. We need another veterinary nurse on our team who's a friendly, caring, resilient, and organized professional. One who likes people as much as animals, and is proficient at client education, in-patient care, dentistry, radiology, anesthesia, and assisting with surgery. Candidate must be an upbeat, consistent, detail-oriented, efficient, friendly, and a team player. A person who can take direction from doctors and co-workers, as well as work independently. One who communicates well (both verbal and written), maintains professionalism in times of stress, adjusts to change with a positive attitude, and has excellent attendance record. One who uses integrity and good judgment in all situations, both seen and unseen. One who can teach and lead veterinary assistants. Sense of humor important. Candidate must have the ability to handle the physical and emotional aspects of the veterinary environment, including euthanasia and grieving pet owners, and safely restrain large or aggressive pets (cats and dogs). Candidate must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, stand for long periods of time, and individually and frequently lift patients and inventory up to 40 pounds. We are a drug, alcohol, and tobacco-free campus.
