Duties:

• Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
• Perform animal restraint during examinations and procedures
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing
• Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal examinations
• Monitor vital signs of animals during procedures and recovery
• Assist with surgical procedures, including preparation of surgical instruments and monitoring anesthesia
• Clean and maintain equipment, exam rooms, and kennels
• Provide basic animal care, including feeding, grooming, and exercise ```

Requirements:

```

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification or degree in veterinary technology OR minimum 1 year previous experience working as a veterinary technician or assistant
• Knowledge of animal care and husbandry practices
• Proficiency in animal restraint techniques
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment
• Ability to perform basic veterinary procedures such as catheterization and wound care
• Experience working with a variety of animals, including small animals and exotic pets
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
• Urgent care experience preferred
