Annual Potential:
Our high-performing technicians can earn upwards of $70k annually (hourly, overtime, commission, bonus, etc.) On-site in Chapel Hill, TN Job Summary As an HVAC Installer, you will install heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in residential and/or commercial settings, ensuring all systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with code and company standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work collaboratively with team members, and professionalism when interacting with customers on-site. Installers may also assist in system startups, testing, and educating customers on proper system use and maintenance, while identifying opportunities for system upgrades or improvements when appropriate. Paid Training :
Weekly customer service and technical training, additional offsite specialty training offered Company-supplied vehicle New technology, including iPad & access to integrated software Tasks, Duties, & Responsibilities Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and equipment according to company standards and local codes Read and interpret blueprints, load calculations, and job specifications to ensure accurate system installation Remove and replace existing HVAC systems, including ductwork, wiring, and related components Ensure all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with manufacturer specifications Perform system startups, testing, and commissioning to verify proper operation and performance Inspect completed installations to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction Communicate clearly with customers on-site regarding installation progress, system operation, and basic maintenance Maintain a clean, organized job site throughout the installation process and upon completion Collaborate with team members, apprentices, and other departments to complete jobs on time and at a high standard Train and mentor apprentices to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient installations Identify opportunities to improve system performance or recommend upgrades when appropriate Maintain a well-stocked and organized service vehicle/truck Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and installation procedures Work closely with dispatch, sales, and customer service teams to ensure a smooth installation process Participate actively in training sessions, meetings, and company events Complete all required paperwork, job documentation, and timecards accurately and on time Required Skills & Experience Strong knowledge of HVAC installation practices, systems, and components Understanding of local HVAC codes and the ability to apply them on the job EPA Certification(s) required NATE certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred Minimum 3 years of HVAC installation experience Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Must have own installation tools (assistance may be available) Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Excellent communication and customer interaction skills Professional appearance, strong work ethic, and positive attitude Highly organized with strong time management and follow-through High integrity and ability to work both independently and as part of a team Desire to continuously improve skills and grow within the trade Team-oriented mindset with a competitive drive to succeed Who We Are At the Air Guys, we pride ourselves on being able to deliver dependable and economical service to all of our customers.
