Job Description

Typical service in the HVAC industry working on residential, commercial and/or mini split systems. Experience of 3-5 minimum years required in sales and service. We are looking for a technician that is able to service residential, and commercial units as well as mini split systems as well as someone that is confident and well seasoned in selling systems, air purifying products, etc. This position will require technicians to be able to recommend products and services on site with the customer and comfortable with asking for the order. Mini Split experience is not required but highly preferred. Reliable transportation back and forth to work is required. Pay will be based on experience, and pay scale is as followed. 10% Commission (Hybrid Service Techs)
Full Book Price:
2% Commission (Hourly Service Techs) 5%: Equipment Discount = 8% Commission (Hybrid Service Techs) 5%: Equipment Discount = 1.5% Commission (Hourly Service Tech) 10% Equipment and Labor Discount = 6% Commission (Hybrid Service Techs) 10% Equipment and Labor Discount = 1% Commission but with a minimum of $100 to technician (Hourly Service Techs) >10% Full Available Discount Provide = 1% Commission (Hybrid Service Techs) >10% Full Available Discount Provide =1% but with a minimum of $100 to technician (Hourly Service Tech).

All system/equipment sales commissions vary depending on discounts and if sale was within profit margin. Hybrid Service Tech Pay Scale for
Services Breakdown:
Hybrid Service Tech:
10% of service call ticket with the hourly base pay of the call. (If a helper is needed then there will be a split of 5% to primary tech and 5% to helper, unless helper is only needed temporarily to help lift for example). (Hourly base pay will vary depending on what tech level a technician is at. The levels are A, B, C, and base technicians. The levels are defined as follows:
A-Level:
Gross between 950k-1.2m per year (Service/Sales) Hourly Base is $20.00 per hour (up to $800.00 per week based on a normal 40-hour work week). It can exceed the typical 40-hour work week; however, any hours worked over 40 hours will NOT be considered overtime pay due to Hybrid pay scale being performance based as well.
B-Level:
Gross between 750k-950k per year (Service/Sales) Hourly Base is $17.50 per hour (up to $700.00 per week based on a normal 40-hour work week). It can exceed the typical 40-hour work week; however, any hours worked over 40 hours will NOT be considered overtime pay due to Hybrid pay scale being performance based as well.
C-Level:
Gross between 500k-750k per year (Service/Sales) Hourly Base is $15.00 per hour (up to $600.00 per week based on a normal 40-hour work week). It can exceed the typical 40-hour work week, however, any hours worked over 40 hours will NOT be considered overtime pay due to Hybrid pay scale being performance based as well.
Base Level :
Gross is under 500k per year and for techs who just want some sort of security and or new technicians entering the trade. (Service/Sales) Hourly Base is $12.50 per hour (up to $500.00 per week based on a normal 40-hour work week). It can exceed the typical 40-hour work week, however, any hours worked over 40 hours will NOT be considered overtime pay due to Hybrid pay scale being performance based as well.
Example:
If a hybrid tech works 45 hours for the week, then the 5 hours of overtime is not considered "overtime pay," but will receive the base pay for the hours worked depending on the tech level they are on. This is due to the fact of them also having the commissions available to them based on performance.
Note:
Refer to Company Handbook for Policies and Procedures regarding driving time, and when to clock in or clock out when starting and ending the workday.
Training Classes:
Hybrid Service Tech:
Paid their hourly base of tech level to attend.
Hourly Service Tech:
Paid their hourly rate to attend. Commission Based Service Tech.
Hourly Pay:
Warranty Calls Call backs for other techs Start-ups/install Commission for service calls: $30 per after hour call - Must charge the customer the after-hour service diagnostic charge to receive the bonus. Custom Quotes - To be determined by the Sales and Service Manager. Commission will be based off margins. If applicant is not comfortable with commission based pay, an hourly rate can be discussed during interview, but applicant still needs to have sales experience and be comfortable with providing estimates.
