Job Description

What You'll Be Doing The HVAC Team Leader is responsible for supporting daily field operations, mentoring technicians, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining strong communication between the field and management. This position leads by example, provides technical guidance, and helps drive performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Assist with recruiting, hiring, training, evaluating, and mentoring HVAC technicians. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and conduct employee reviews. Lead ride-along coaching sessions to develop technical and customer service skills. Assist Operations Managers with the daily operation of the service and installation departments, including implementing policies and procedures. Support technicians with diagnostics, troubleshooting, callbacks, and technical issues, including after-hours support when needed. Run service calls and assist with installations as needed to support the team and maintain workflow. Ensure technicians meet or exceed productivity and performance standards. Review service calls, installation jobs, work orders, and callbacks with technicians. Ensure HVAC systems are properly serviced, repaired, and installed to company standards. Provide friendly, accurate communication to customers and assist with resolving customer concerns. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by supporting strong communication and service delivery. Assist in tracking productivity, KPIs, and overall department performance. Support scheduling, coordination, and overall workflow efficiency. Coordinate with internal teams including warehouse, sales, and management to ensure job readiness. Participate in team meetings and assist with training topics and presentations. Promote and uphold company core values, team rules, and philosophy. Demonstrate leadership in attitude, morale, appearance, and work ethic. Lead by example in all safety practices on job sites, in the office, and while driving. Ensure technicians follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Maintain company vehicles and enforce fleet policies. Assist in planning team events, contests, and performance initiatives. Participate in continuing education to stay current in the HVAC field. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Valid driver's license and ability to maintain insurability under company policy Ability to pass background check and drug screening if required 5+ years of HVAC experience in service, installation, or both Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and diagnostics Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities Basic computer and technology skills High school diploma or GED required (technical certifications preferred) Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical job duties Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional after-hours support What We Expect from Our Team At MacGregor Plumbing and Heating, our team members take pride in their work and support each other to achieve success.

Pay:
$32.00 - $35.00 per hour
