Job Description

The Industrial Engineer will have overall responsibility for creation and maintenance of manufacturing routings for parts made internally. The Industrial Engineer's work shall be in accordance with the established quality standards. He/she is the technical support contact for Design Engineering, Production Control, and Finance and is responsible for maximizing manufacturing efficiencies. Ensures projects are effectively executed to budgeted cost and time schedules. Essential Job Functions Designs efficient production processes and workflows. Works with the manufacturing and the manufacturing engineering teams to identify improvements in productivity and efficiency. Perform time studies, line balancing, and capability analysis. Conduct design for manufacturing reviews to ensure product designs align with manufacturing capabilities and constraints. Prepares and/or reviews requirements based on project plans and specifications for tooling, equipment, routings, locations, assemblies, and related processes. Assists production staff with issuing work based on needs of production schedule, input from team leaders, and customer priorities. Measures variances to standards, identify out of control variances, investigate reasons, suggest solutions, install, and follow up. Knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to manufacturing systems Solid mechanical and/or electrical aptitude (e.g., deals with a variety of hand and power tools, as well as large equipment, schematics) Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or minimum 2-4 years' related experience. Experience working in heavy manufacturing of low volume high mix is highly desirable
