Job Description

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic 1st & 3rd Shift $28 -30/hr! Job Description As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining all industrial equipment, performing preventative and predictive maintenance, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve equipment issues. You will ensure the continuous operation of converting equipment and lines, participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives, and perform all necessary repairs while implementing technical solutions. Comfort with precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters is essential. Responsibilities Maintain and service all industrial equipment. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues. Ensure continuous operation of converting equipment and lines. Participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives. Perform repairs and implement technical solutions. Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters. Essential Skills Experience in maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and 3-phase motors. Comfortable with changeovers, setups, fillers, pumps, and valves. Troubleshooting, mechanical repair, preventive maintenance, and electrical skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Preferably 3+ years of experience in a GMP environment. Computer proficiency in MS Office. Minimum 5 years of related manufacturing experience in an FDA facility is ideal. 3 years of experience in a non-FDA facility is acceptable. Previous experience in GMP or food manufacturing is a plus. Work Environment The facility operates nearly a million square feet of production and distribution centers, running around the clock, five days a week, with national product distribution occurring seven days a week. This is a liquid filling facility with strong odors depending on the department, such as mouthwash, lotion, or alcohol. Candidates with liquid filling or packaging backgrounds, especially from the food and beverage industry, will find their skills particularly relevant in this FDA-regulated environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
