Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-ICU Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic critical care environment, where nurses support each other and deliver exceptional patient-centered care in a 16-bed intensive care unit. This contract role offers exposure to advanced medical technology and diverse critical care experiences, alongside a collaborative team committed to maintaining Trauma III standards.
Schedule/Hours:
Rotating shifts, every other weekend required Floating in rotation with full-time staff and travelers
Key Qualifications:
Active RN license with relevant ICU experience BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude Skilled in ventilator management, sedation, and medication titration Familiarity with common ICU procedures: trach placement, bronchoscopy, cardioversion Experience using systems such as GE Monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis, Drager vents, and Meditech documentation Comfortable with a 2:1 patient ratio and working with available tech support
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive critical care to a varied patient population Manage and monitor advanced equipment and perform necessary procedures Utilize Meditech for documentation and adhere to patient experience protocols, including AIDET and medication education Foster teamwork, effective communication, and problem-solving within the unit Contribute to a supportive work culture and uphold a high level of clinical practice
