Industrial Painter

Must be able to drive a forklift!

Job Duties:

1. Paint product to print specifications. 2. Maintain Daily Performance Charts accurately. 3. Perform appropriate 5-S and PM requirements. 4. Perform work per Standard Work meeting takt time requirements. 5. Maintain MRS Systems used. 6. Verify mil thickness on paint application. 7. Monitor wash and rinse tank levels. 8. Check viscosity of paint. 9. Change filters. 10. Must be willing to cross-train, and/or fill in as required. 11. Use tools to eliminate waste and improve quality. 12. Meet or exceed individual/area goals. 13. Support Time Available and not be in the Disciplinary Action Status. 14. Notify Team Leader of any shortages of materials needed to complete scheduled jobs. 15. Communicate quality problems to supervision. 16. Assist in the Continual Improvement of the cell using the tools. 17. Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety rules and regulations.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

1. Quality Driven to consistently produce parts to print specification. 2. Ability to read blue prints. 3. Self starter with a history of adding value by personal initiative. 4. Team player•participates, praises, and encourages others. 5. Problem solver•ability to logically think through problems to help identify the root cause. 6. Ability to build to a prescribed system on a repetitive basis. 7. Continuous improvement oriented. 8. Safety conscious. 9. Good attendance record. 10. Ability to read/understand measuring instruments used in that area.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

1. Ability to lift 45 pounds occasionally. 2. Ability to stand 8•10 hours daily.
