Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Supervisory Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for infants, supporting their developmental milestones and fostering a love for learning from the very beginning. Your expertise in curriculum development, classroom management, and child welfare will ensure each child's unique needs are met with care and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Supervision & Safety Maintain constant active supervision and line of sight of all infants at all times. Ensure classroom and playground safety while following all licensing regulations and health standards. Respond appropriately to emergencies and maintain a secure, nurturing environment. Curriculum Planning Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that support cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development. Create engaging sensory and exploratory experiences tailored to infant learning stages. Observe and document developmental progress using assessment tools such as Teaching Strategies Gold (TS Gold). Care Routines Manage daily feeding, diapering, sanitizing, and nap routines while following health and sanitation procedures. Support breastfeeding families and accommodate individualized care plans. Maintain clean and organized classroom environments that promote comfort and learning. Parent Communication Provide daily communication regarding feeding, sleeping, diapering, and developmental milestones. Build positive relationships with families through regular updates and parent-teacher conferences. Address family concerns professionally and collaboratively. Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations, health department standards, and center policies. Maintain accurate documentation, including incident reports, attendance, child tracking, and developmental records. Follow infection control, sanitation, and emergency preparedness procedures. Required Qualifications & Skills Education Early Childhood Education (ECE) coursework, credential, or degree. Infant/Toddler certification or credential, such as EQIT in Colorado, required. Experience Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting. Leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Certifications Current CPR and First Aid certification. Additional state-required trainings Skills Strong communication and organizational skills. Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing demeanor. Ability to lift and carry infants and classroom equipment (typically up to 30-40 lbs). Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving practices. Key Focus Areas Supporting healthy infant development through responsive caregiving. Maintaining safe, clean, and engaging learning environments. Building trusting partnerships with families. Ensuring compliance with all licensing and health regulations. Promoting positive team collaboration within the classroom.
Pay:
From $21.00 per hour
