Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and identify their rental or sales needs through active listening and effective communication Provide detailed product information, demonstrate features, and explain rental terms clearly to ensure customer understanding Manage inventory control by tracking rental items, updating stock levels, and assisting with inventory management systems Process transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems while maintaining excellent phone etiquette for remote inquiries Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, maintaining records, and preparing sales reports using Microsoft Word and Excel Promote additional products or services through persuasive sales techniques and cross-selling strategies Provide front desk operations by handling customer inquiries, scheduling rentals or returns, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or customer service preferred; experience in outside sales or sales management is a plus Must have knowledge of construction equipment and construction processes to ensure customers are getting the proper machinery for their jobs. Multilingual or bilingual abilities is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and data entry tasks Excellent communication skills, including public speaking and negotiation abilities to confidently engage with customers Demonstrated ability to handle phone etiquette professionally while managing multiple tasks efficiently Administrative experience that supports smooth front desk operations and retail math skills for accurate transactions A proactive attitude with the ability to maintain organizational flow during busy periods; maintenance of a positive attitude is essential This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their sales expertise while delivering exceptional customer service.
