Job Title:
Installer Job Description The Installer sets up, assembles, and maintains a wide range of equipment, ensuring each installation meets technical specifications, safety standards, and project requirements. This role combines hands-on mechanical work, careful review of technical documentation, and close collaboration with project teams to deliver reliable, high-quality installations. Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, and technical documentation to fully understand installation requirements before beginning work. Install and set up various types of equipment, including machinery, electronic devices, and industrial systems, in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and project specifications. Assemble and integrate components using provided instructions and technical drawings, ensuring all parts fit and function correctly. Perform routine maintenance on installed equipment to keep systems operating efficiently and prevent potential malfunctions. Diagnose and repair issues with installed equipment, identifying root causes and implementing timely, effective solutions. Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete installation, assembly, and adjustment tasks safely and accurately. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure installations align with project timelines and quality standards. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and others. Inspect completed installations to verify proper operation, adherence to specifications, and compliance with safety requirements. Document work performed, including installation steps, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered or resolved. Communicate clearly with clients and colleagues to explain installation processes, timelines, and any necessary follow-up actions. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. 5-7 years of previous experience as an equipment installer. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills for working with machinery and equipment. Ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools for assembly and installation tasks. Experience with equipment installation, including machinery, electronic devices, and industrial systems. Ability to assemble and integrate components accurately according to instructions and technical drawings. Mechanical skills applicable to working with sheet metal and related materials. Ability to interpret and work from blueprints for precise installation and assembly. Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently. High attention to detail and precision in equipment setup and alignment. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, project managers, engineers, and team members. Physical fitness and the ability to lift, move, and maneuver heavy equipment safely. Knowledge of safety regulations and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Technical certifications or vocational training in equipment installation or a related field are highly beneficial. Experience working in mechanically intensive environments, such as industrial or manufacturing settings. Comfort working with sheet metal components and related installation techniques. Ability to adapt to changing project demands and work schedules while maintaining quality and safety. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a clean, well-lit, climate-controlled environment designed for comfort and safety. The facility operates primarily on a 4/10 schedule, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Due to current demand, extended hours are available, with typical working times of Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., though this increased workload is not expected to be permanent. The work involves hands-on use of mechanical tools and equipment, with no travel required, allowing you to perform your duties in a stable, controlled setting focused on safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Henrico, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
