Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a positive impact in the lives of young students by supporting their educational journey in a resourceful and inclusive environment. Two contract opportunities are available for passionate, dedicated paraprofessionals to work with PreK through 6th grade students in a welcoming elementary school setting. You'll actively assist students with a range of needs—including other health impairments, autism, learning disabilities, hearing impairments, and severe/profound cases—either in the resource room or side-by-side within general education classrooms. Your supportive presence will help students overcome challenges and thrive in their learning community. The position is for the full school year, from August to May, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours and significantly reduced Friday schedules.
Qualifications:
High School diploma Valid Oklahoma Paraprofessional Certificate Genuine interest in working with elementary-aged children with a variety of educational and developmental needs Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to be adaptable within changing classroom environments Compassion, patience, and reliability are essential

Assist lead teachers in delivering educational and behavioral support Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere where all students feel valued Support individualized instruction plans in both resource and general education settings Help with classroom activities, transitions, and new routines Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies
