Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Looking to make a meaningful impact in an educational setting? Two contract paraprofessional opportunities are available, providing essential support to young learners and their teachers for the upcoming academic year. These full-time positions will run from August 4th, 2026 to May 26th, 2027, offering the chance to work 37.5 hours per week in highly supportive environments.

Assignment Details:

Regular Education PreK:

Work alongside a lead teacher and another paraprofessional to support approximately 17 PreK students, including those with IEPs and special needs.

Special Education PreK:

Be part of a dedicated team supporting a small group of 3-5-year-old students with special needs—many of whom are non-verbal or not yet toilet-trained and may display behavioral challenges. Students are split across two daily sessions, with some needing all-day support.

Qualifications:

GaPSC Paraprofessional Certification required (applications accepted from those in process; certification must be attained before the start date) Previous paraprofessional or classroom experience strongly preferred Must complete onsite district fingerprinting as part of employment Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development Adaptability for working with students exhibiting a range of abilities and behaviors

Responsibilities:
