Job Description
- Only qualified "Instruments Test Technician" candidates located near the Sparks, Maryland area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence
- Education
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Mechatronics or relevant field preferred or equivalent experienceQualifications & Experience
- Experience with electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of testing and functional performance of instruments
- Ability to interpret drawings, dimensions, and technical requirements
- Knowledge of mechanical tools, including torque drivers, gauges, and bits
- Strong analytical, math, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage multiple production orders and shifting priorities
- Experience working within quality procedures and lean manufacturing environments
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to work within Windows environments
- Ability to work effectively within team settingsAdditional Requirements
- Candidates with a stable work history are preferred
- Previous interview or rejected candidates should not be resubmittedResponsibilities
- Perform production assembly operations and complete system analysis, testing, and performance optimization
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues in non-functioning test equipment
- Analyze testing results to determine pass or fail outcomes and provide solutions
- Support optimization of system performance, including movement precision and light systems
- Identify defects and recommend design and process improvements
- Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards
- Train associates on mechanical and testing activities as needed
- Complete production activities in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams
- Perform material handling functions for raw materials and sub-assemblies
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Follow GMP standards and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work overtime as required to meet business needs
