Job Description

  • Only qualified "Instruments Test Technician" candidates located near the Sparks, Maryland area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence
  • Education
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Mechatronics or relevant field preferred or equivalent experienceQualifications & Experience
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of testing and functional performance of instruments
  • Ability to interpret drawings, dimensions, and technical requirements
  • Knowledge of mechanical tools, including torque drivers, gauges, and bits
  • Strong analytical, math, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to manage multiple production orders and shifting priorities
  • Experience working within quality procedures and lean manufacturing environments
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to work within Windows environments
  • Ability to work effectively within team settingsAdditional Requirements
  • Candidates with a stable work history are preferred
  • Previous interview or rejected candidates should not be resubmittedResponsibilities
  • Perform production assembly operations and complete system analysis, testing, and performance optimization
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues in non-functioning test equipment
  • Analyze testing results to determine pass or fail outcomes and provide solutions
  • Support optimization of system performance, including movement precision and light systems
  • Identify defects and recommend design and process improvements
  • Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards
  • Train associates on mechanical and testing activities as needed
  • Complete production activities in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams
  • Perform material handling functions for raw materials and sub-assemblies
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Follow GMP standards and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work overtime as required to meet business needs
