Job Description
Cover Me Insurance Agency of NJ is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Claims Processor to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for bilingual and entry-level candidates interested in building a career in the insurance industry, especially those with experience or interest in trucking, commercial auto, or automotive claims. The Claims Processor will assist with gathering claim information, reviewing documentation, communicating with clients and insurance carriers, and supporting the claims department to ensure accurate and timely processing. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities Gather and organize claim information from clients, insurance carriers, police reports, repair shops, and medical providers. Assist customers with reporting auto, trucking, and commercial vehicle claims. Review incoming claims for completeness, accuracy, and required documentation. Enter claim details into agency management and insurance software systems. Verify insurance coverage, policy information, and claim status updates. Maintain accurate records of communications, documents, and claim activities. Follow up with adjusters, body shops, towing companies, and clients regarding pending information. Support the claims team with administrative and clerical tasks including filing, scanning, emailing, and data entry. Communicate professionally with English- and Spanish-speaking clients (preferred). Help ensure compliance with agency procedures and insurance regulations. Provide excellent customer service during stressful claim situations. Qualifications Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply. Previous experience in insurance, trucking, automotive, customer service, office administration, or claims processing is a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and manage multiple claims efficiently. Comfortable working with computers, email, and data entry systems. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Professional attitude and willingness to learn. Knowledge of commercial trucking or automotive claims is helpful but not required. Preferred Experience Insurance agency or claims office experience. Commercial auto or trucking industry experience. Automotive repair, towing, or transportation background. Familiarity with claims documentation and insurance verification procedures.
