As a premier manufacturer of Engineer-to-Order (ETO) and Manufacture-to-Order (MTO) custom commercial furnishings, we thrive on complexity and craftsmanship. From high-end boardroom tables to integrated technology furniture, every piece we create is unique. The Inventory Control Clerk is a detail-oriented professional responsible for the day-to-day tracking, organizing, and recording of all materials within our manufacturing facility. This role supports the Director of Materials by ensuring that every piece of hardware, sheet of veneer, and gallon of finish is accounted for. The ideal candidate enjoys a fast-paced environment where accuracy is the highest priority and is comfortable moving between a desk and the production floor.
Key Responsibilities Data Entry & Documentation:
Accurately update the ERP system with incoming shipments, material transfers between departments, and outgoing finished goods.Receiving & Inspection:
Unload deliveries, verify packing slips against physical counts, and inspect materials for damage or discrepancies.Cycle Counting:
Perform daily or weekly "mini audits" of specific stock locations to ensure physical inventory matches the digital record.Kitting & Staging:
Pull and organize specific materials (hardware, adhesives, etc.) for upcoming production jobs to ensure craftsmen have all necessary components ready at their stations.Labeling & Organization:
Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse. Ensure all bins, racks, and pallets are clearly labeled and stored in their designated zones.Shortage Reporting:
Proactively notify the Purchasing team when stock levels of essential supplies reach re-order points.Qualifications & Skills Experience:
1-2 years of experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory role. Experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus.Computer Literacy:
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn inventory management software.Math Skills:
Strong basic math skills for accurate counting, unit conversions (e.g., converting linear feet to square feet), and verifying shipments.Organizational Skills:
A natural habit for keeping workspaces tidy and maintaining logical filing systems.Communication:
Ability to communicate clearly with truck drivers, shop floor leads, and office staff. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods across a manufacturing facility. Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. regularly. Comfortable using ladders and operating basic warehouse equipment (Fork Lift, manual pallet jacks, etc.).Pay:
