Inventory & Materials Assistant

The Fiddlehead Way (Fiddlehead Farm) is a community‑oriented, naturally grown vegetable and flower farm dedicated to sustainable agriculture, seasonal CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), and participation in local farmers markets. We are seeking a detail‑oriented Inventory & Materials Assistant to support our farm operations by managing supplies and materials essential to our planting, harvesting, and market preparation processes. Position Overview As an Inventory & Materials Assistant , you will play an important role in making sure our farm has the right materials in the right place at the right time. You will support our growing team by organizing, tracking, and preparing supplies that keep daily operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Receive and inspect incoming farm supplies (seeds, fertilizers, containers, equipment) Organize and maintain an accurate inventory of materials and storage areas Track usage rates and assist with inventory planning to prevent shortages Prepare materials and supplies for planting and other farm tasks Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organized storage environment Assist team members with locating supplies and preparing orders for CSA distribution or farmers markets Help with basic recordkeeping using spreadsheets or inventory software Qualifications Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable performing physical tasks and lifting up to approximately 25 lbs Reliable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team Basic computer skills and familiarity with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) Previous experience in inventory, materials handling, agriculture, or farm work is a plus, but not required Positive attitude and willingness to learn What We Offer Competitive hourly pay Supportive team environment with opportunities to learn about sustainable farming Hands‑on role with meaningful impact on farm operations Flexible scheduling options, including part‑time and seasonal opportunities Hours & Schedule Flexible schedule - Full‑time or Part‑time available On‑site work primarily at our Rosendale, NY farm Some tasks may vary based on season and farm needs

Pay:

$21.70 - $24.90 per hour
