Job Description

Job Summary Underdog Cyber Defense is seeking a motivated, professional, and coachable individual to join our team as a Client Success Technician Apprentice. This is an entry-level technical position designed for someone who wants to begin a career in IT and cybersecurity. No professional IT experience is required, but candidates should have a basic technical foundation through current enrollment, completed coursework, trade school, college program, cybersecurity program, or similar training. This is a full-time, in-office position. The role includes supporting clients both remotely and onsite, answering client support requests, assisting with troubleshooting, documenting work, and learning directly from experienced team members. The Client Success Technician Apprentice will report directly Client Success Team Lead. This is a strong opportunity for someone who is reliable, professional, curious, and ready to grow in a cybersecurity-focused IT environment. A Successful Candidate Will Be Professional and reliable Coachable and willing to learn Friendly and respectful with clients Clear in written communication Security-minded Willing to ask questions Able to take ownership of tasks through completion Resourceful without being afraid to ask for help Team-first Detail-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Current enrollment, completed coursework, trade school, college program, cybersecurity program, or similar technical training required. Basic familiarity with Windows computers Basic cybersecurity awareness Basic understanding of hardware setup and troubleshooting Ability to follow troubleshooting steps and document work clearly Excellent written and verbal communication skills Courteous and professional when working with clients and team members Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately Reliable transportation required Valid and clean driver's license required Able to successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening Able to work 40 hours per week This is not a remote position; candidate is required to work from the office and at client sites as needed Primary Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To Answer client calls and receive incoming support requests Help triage client issues and support tickets Assist with technical troubleshooting for clients Provide remote and onsite client support Assist with workstation, hardware, and related technical setup Document tickets, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions clearly Maintain a positive client experience through clear communication and follow-through Collaborate with the Client Success team to resolve problems Learn and follow internal processes, procedures, and security standards Adopt a continuous learning and improvement mindset Stay aware of cybersecurity basics and security-first support practices Assist with related Client Success responsibilities as needed On-call responsibilities are not expected immediately but may become part of the role as the employee gains experience and earns additional responsibility. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
