Janitor and Cleaner

JOB OVERVIEW

This position will thoroughly clean various areas of the gym and locker rooms while sanitizing equipment and removing trash with the aim of ensuring our members have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Clean the interior of the building including floors, carpet, rugs, windows and walls Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker room areas, group exercise rooms/areas, fitness equipment and gym floor. Stock locker rooms with proper supplies/paper products. Report any broken or missing amenities or equipment (Toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, gym equipment etc.) to the Club Manager Replace air filters and maintain HVAC systems Empty trash and recycling bins Stock and maintain supply rooms Vacuum, sweep and mop floors Washing and clean windows and mirrors Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions Follow "Lost and Found Policy" and turn in lost member property to the Front Desk Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment

Required Skills/Abilities:

Good communication skills Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them Ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds Good organization skills Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners Excellent time-management skills Prolonged periods of standing This job description is intended to describe the general requirements for the position.
