Janitor/Cleaner

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Janitor/Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role is vital in ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in various cleaning tasks, including commercial and industrial cleaning, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of hygiene. Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred, along with skills in floor care, buffing, and facilities maintenance. Responsibilities Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across multiple areas. Conduct detailed floor care such as buffing and polishing to maintain a professional appearance. Handle custodial tasks for both commercial and residential spaces, ensuring all areas meet cleanliness standards. Maintain restrooms by cleaning fixtures, replenishing supplies, and sanitizing surfaces. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues. Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively. Follow established safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Maintain organized storage of cleaning supplies and equipment. Requirements Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles preferred; experience in commercial, industrial cleaning, or floor care is advantageous. Knowledge of cleaning techniques including buffing, polishing, and use of cleaning machinery. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Physical ability to perform cleaning duties which may include lifting heavy supplies, standing for extended periods, and reaching high or low areas. Reliable transportation or access to transportation is preferred for shift flexibility. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to safety guidelines and procedures.
