Janitorial

General Information:

St. Vincent de Paul Society is a non-profit, Catholic lay organization that helps families in Washington County with assistance. Our retail stores generate most of the funds that our volunteers use to accomplish this goal. Our stores also give out merchandise to assist families when requested. The Janitor helps promote the SVdP mission and values to employee and customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the cleanliness of the entire facility
• Clean sales floor, backrooms, offices, restrooms, and front/rear entrance as often as necessary to maintain a clean, neat environment
• Sweep and mop floors
• Trash removal
• Order cleaning supplies
• Maintain and operate cleaning equipment
• Follow company guidelines, per the Employee Handbook
• Proper handling of Cleaning Chemicals
• Perform all other assigned duties as needed
• Maintenance of building Knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Stand, push, pull, walk for long periods of time

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift-up to 50lbs.
• Ability to use a ladder/stairs
• Stand, push, pull, walk for long periods of time
