Job Description
St. Vincent de Paul of Washington County - Slinger, WI St. Vincent de Paul of Washington County is a nonprofit thrift retailer dedicated to helping our neighbors in need. We're seeking a Store Lead (Key Holder) for our Slinger location to support daily operations, provide exceptional customer service, and assist with opening and closing the store. This leadership role works closely with the management team and is ideal for someone who is reliable, mission-driven, and looking to grow in nonprofit retail. Position Overview The Store Lead is responsible for overseeing store operations during opening or closing shifts, maintaining a positive store environment, and supporting staff and volunteers. This individual serves as the manager-on-duty in the absence of the Store or Assistant Manager. Key Responsibilities Open and close the store following established procedures Serve as key holder and ensure the security of the store Provide leadership and support to floor staff and volunteers Assist customers with purchases, donations, and inquiries in a professional manner Support merchandising, stocking, and organizing product displays Ensure cleanliness, safety, and a welcoming store atmosphere Handle customer concerns or escalations appropriately and promptly Communicate effectively with management regarding daily store updates Qualifications Previous retail, customer service, or supervisory experience preferred Ability to lead by example with professionalism and positive attitude Strong communication and decision-making skills Comfortable using basic technology (POS system, email, etc.) Must be dependable and able to work flexible hours, including weekends Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods Why Join Us?
